Startup runway calculator
Estimate how many months of cash you have at your current burn rate.
Runway
10 months
Months until the cash runs out at the current burn.
- Net monthly burnExpenses minus revenue.
- $30,000.00
- Cash needed for 18 monthsExtra funding required to reach 18 months of runway.
- $240,000.00
How this is calculated
Net burn = monthly expenses − monthly revenue.
Runway = cash ÷ net burn. If revenue covers expenses there is no burn, so no end date.
This assumes expenses and revenue stay flat. Growth in either changes the answer, so revisit it monthly.
